Thomas Berk, MD
Neura Health
Dr. Dr. Thomas Berk is a neurologist and headache specialist in New York City. He is the Medical Director of Neura Health, a virtual headache clinic, and a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU Langone Headache Center in New York City.
He graduated from the NYU Grossman School of Medicine in 2010 and subsequently completed his neurology residency at NYU as well. Dr. Berk completed a headache fellowship at the Jefferson Headache Center and is a board-certified headache specialist.
Dr. Berk is an emerging leader of the American Headache Society and has been on the Super-Doctor’s list of rising stars for the past three years. He is passionate about bringing access to high quality headache healthcare to everyone everywhere
Deborah Friedman, MD
Dr. Friedman is a neurologist specializing in Headache Medicine and Neuro-Ophthalmology in Dallas, Texas. She was the founding director of the Headache and Facial Pain Program and Cerebrospinal Fluid Dynamics Program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She is Board Certified in Neurology and Headache Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology, American Headache Society (AHS), American Neurological Association, and the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society (NANOS).
Dr Friedman served on the Board of Directors of AHS, is the Treasurer of the Southern Headache Society, was a Past-President of NANOS, and is a member of the steering committee for the Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension Treatment Trial. She has published over 130 articles in peer-reviewed journals and 27 book chapters. Her key interests are intracranial pressure disorders, cluster headache and migraine.
Nada Hindiyeh, MD

Dr. Hindiyeh is a board certified neurologist and headache specialist, and the medical director at Metrodora Institute in Utah.

She was awarded the 2013 Clinical Research Fellowship in Neurotoxins by the American Academy of Neurology and under this scholarship is currently investigating a diagnostic screening protocol for chronic migraine. Other research interests include pathophysiology and novel treatments for migraine, and the use of transcranial magnetic stimulation in headache disorders.
Dr. Hindiyeh regularly participates in clinical trials for new headache therapeutics and has authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed articles on the topic of headache disorders. She is currently a member of the American Headache Society as well as the International Headache Society.
Lauren Natbony, MD
Integrative Headache Medicine of New York
Dr. Lauren Natbony is the Founder & Medical Director of Integrative Headache Medicine of New York, as well as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Neurology in the Division of Headache and Facial Pain at Mount Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine. Dr. Natbony previously served as the Director of the Headache Medicine Fellowship at Mount Sinai and continues to be actively involved in teaching headache fellows and neurology residents.

With this unique combination of training, she focuses on treating complex chronic headache and facial pain disorders.
Amaal J. Starling, MD
Mayo Clinic
Dr. Starling is a board certified neurologist and headache specialist at the Mayo Clinic, AZ, where she studies underlying pathophysiology, establishes clinical phenotypes, and is exploring novel therapeutics.

As a regular participant in clinical trials she has a special interest in exploring nondrug options for migraine, including neuromodulation devices, and is developing a human research model of post-traumatic headaches that will allow for the investigation of underlying pathophysiology and the development of objective biomarkers.
Dr. Starling is very active in advocacy and is involved with organizations such as Miles for Migraine, Headache on the Hills, and the American Migraine Foundation. She has a particular interest in exploring tools and techniques that can be used by providers to incorporate advocacy into clinical practice.
Stewart J. Tepper
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center
Dr. Tepper is Professor of Neurology at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in Hanover, NH and Director of the Dartmouth Headache Center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He received his undergraduate degree in the study of the nervous system/psychobiology from Yale College, CT, and attended Cornell University Medical College. He completed his Neurology residency at Harvard and has been board certified in Headache Medicine since 2006.

Dr. Tepper has been Co-director of the Scottsdale Headache Symposium course of the American Headache Society since 2008. He is Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Headache Currents
and Associate Editor for the journal, Headache. He has published more than 375 peer-reviewed manuscripts, editorials, and books on headache medicine. He serves on the Board of Directors of the American Headache Society.
