Our Community
We believe in creating an open space for patients to be heard while also fostering a community of balance. Our community brands—Migraine Meanderings and Hope for Migraine—offer places where migraine patients with the strongest interest in new treatments congregate to learn, and we are the leading edge of understanding the patient mindset when it comes to both disease management and new treatments in the migraine space.
Our Mission & Vision
Provide patient- and caregiver-oriented advocacy, support and education services focusing on migraine disease, other headache disorders, and chronic pain.
Help people and their families who are impacted by these conditions through social media outreach, websites, meetings, and educational materials.
Empower patient voices and raise public awareness of disease symptoms, risk factors, and treatment options, and promote research to help treat and manage migraine.
Help close the loop of communication between patients, healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical and medical device companies in order to optimize patient care and disease management.
Time for Change
Since 2018, we have entered a new frontier of migraine treatment that has been both much-needed and much-anticipated by patients and healthcare professionals alike. However, along with this new frontier, there are unique challenges to be faced:
A large, complex maze of new information to navigate, together with misinformation (often presented as evidential)
Lack of easy access to Certified Headache Specialists who are better equipped to manage migraine disease
A communication “disconnect” between patients and healthcare professionals.
Misunderstanding about the importance of a holistic approach, especially bearing in mind comorbid conditions.
Inadequate resources to manage the complexity and wide spectrum of migraine disease
Lack of patient empowerment, resulting in reduced access to appropriate treatments and lower treatment compliance.
These challenges together result in poorer outcomes for migraine disease management. For a disease space that impacts approximately 1 in 7 people, 40 million in the USA and 1 billion globally, it is time for change.
